Vacancies at Chemonics HELM Project (4 posts)

Chemonics International, a global international development consulting firm
(www.chemonics.com) seeks qualified Indonesian specialists for a USAID
higher education program in Indonesia. The USAID Higher Education

Leadership and Management project (HELM) is a 5 year program that aims to
improve the academic performance of Indonesian higher education sectors
through analytical support for strategic planning and policy analysis and
design of approaches for effective implementation of key reforms across the
education system. We are looking for individuals whohave a passion for
making a difference in the lives of people around the world who can fill
the following long term positions:

*1. Communications and Outreach Specialist*

·        Responsible for leading implementation of HELM’s communications
programs and managing the production of materials to facilitate the project
in meeting its overall objectives.

·        Work closely with USAID, DIKTI, and project staff to support
outreach to members of the higher education community

·        Develop and implement a communications strategy and outreach
plan, produce project success stories, and ensure timely project reporting.


*2. University Outreach Specialist *

·        Responsible for developing dissemination channels for HELM
technical teams and leading communication events at the level of HELM’s partner
Higher Education Institutions (HEIs).

·        Will work closely with HELM technical teams, and partner
HEIs to ensure
dissemination of project documents, activities and learning, as well as
enhance outreach between partners and from partners to other members of the
higher education community.

·        Develop program dissemination and outreach plan; produce project
success stories, highlights, press releases and reports from the level of
the HEI partners; enhance the communication links between HELM and HEI
partners; and ensure timely project reporting while assuring strict
adherence to the USAID communication and outreach guidelines as well as to
USAID branding and marking requirements for all project documents.



Qualifications for post no. 1 and 2 listed above are:

(1) B.A./B.S. in higher education, education, or relevant field required;
Master’s degree preferred

(2) Minimum 6 years’ relevant experience

(3) Proven experience developing and fostering public-private partnerships

(4) Familiarity with Indonesian higher education systems preferred

(5) Experience working with international donors or organizations preferred

(6) Interest in working with a multi-cultural, international team in a
dynamic and fast-paced environment

(7) Strong verbal and written communication skills in English and Bahasa
Indonesia


*3. Administrative Assistant/Receptionist*

·        Guest greeter, phone operator

·        Letter and memo drafting, provide document translation from
Bahasa Indonesia to English andvice versa, as needed

·        Arrange appointments as needed including transportation and
lodging bookings

·        Maintaining, keeping the record and updating the administrative
general filing system

·        Prepare official expenses, submit to finance department

·        Serve as back-up office manager as needed



Qualifications for Administrative Assistant/Receptionist position noted
above are:

(1) At least 3-5 years administrative management experience, preferably
with large-scale international projects.

(2) Successful experience working in adiverse, face-paced environment.

(3) Excellent computer and typing skills including, Microsoft Word, Excel,
Outlook exchange email system, and desktop publishing software such as
Adobe, Photoshop, and other similar programs.

(4) Versed in office administration duties including faxing, photocopying,
answering phones, arranging meetings.

(5) Bachelor’s degree or 5 years administrative experience required.

(6) Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian required.

(7) Experience in design and layout of reports and communications products
highly preferred.


*4. Office Assistant*

·        Alternate guest greeter and phone operator

·        Maintain cleanliness of the office

·        Acting as office messenger including to the bank and tax office



Qualifications for Office Assistant position noted above are:

(1) At least 3-5 years’ experience, preferably with large-scale
international projects.

(2) Successful experience working in a diverse, face-paced environment.

(3) Versed in office administration duties including faxing, photocopying,
answering phones

(4) Minimum high school degree

(5) Fluency in English and Bahasa Indonesian is desired
