Save the Children is a leading, private child-focused non-governmental
alliance of 29 member organizations that works in 120 countries
throughout the world. Save the Children has worked in Indonesia since
1976 to promote health and nutrition, education, child protection,
livelihoods, and emergency preparedness and response. Save the Children
has grown enormously in the country and today we operate in 13 provinces
across Indonesia. Our program in Indonesia has made significant
progress at the national policy level and in the Bandung, West Java
metropolitan area in facilitating family-based care for neglected and
vulnerable children.
Water, Sanitation, and Hygiene in Support of School Empowerment (WISE)
established to support the empowerment of school- is a joint program
from CARE, Save the Children and UNICEF which funded by Dubai Cares. The
program aims to coordinate various activities and Creating, Learning
Communities for Children (CLCC) approaches to promote behavior of
Perilaku Hidup Bersih Sehat (PHBS) at school through the rehabilitation
and maintenance of sanitation facilities and hygiene, quality
improvement of learning about sanitation and hygiene at the school, to
support the activities of sanitation and hygiene in schools and
communities, as well as potential to integrate the issue of hygiene in
the curriculum or learning development plans. WISE program in six
districts in four provinces – Kabupaten Soe and Attambua (NTT),
Kabupaten Takalar and Soppeng (Sulawesi Selatan),Kabupaten Manokwari
(Papua Barat) and Kabupaten Jayapura. Currently Save the Children has an
immediate need for experienced staffs to be part of our WISE program
team and will be based in Kupang, NTT.
The position we are looking for are:
Finance & Admin Assistant WISE (code: FAA-WISE) – 2 posts
1 based in Soppeng, 1 based in Manokwari
The post holder is directly report to Finance & Administration
Officer – Wise in Kupang. He/she will responsible to provide daily
operation in the area of finance, admin and logistical activities in two
WISE respective districts (Soppeng and Manokwari) office line with Save
the Children policy and procedure.
Job Responsibilities:
1. Providing finance materials as required by other staff member
2. Maintaining and updating finance notice board
3. Providing administrative finance support for Finance and Admin Officer
4. Maintaining advance and outstanding invoices
5. Checking and validating complete supporting documents for finance requirements
6. Maintaining proper administrative filing system
7. Purchasing stationary and other office supplies, arranging documents and stationary delivery
8. Handling routine office correspondence
9. Arranging accommodation for visitor and consultants
10. Assisting in payment process for electricity and any other bills for the office needs
11. Supporting in monitor, record and updating assets/inventory
12. Assisting in updating Approved Vendor List (AVL) in WISE respective districts
Requirements:
Education: Bachelor degree in Accounting or Finance field.
Skill and Experiences:
· Minimum 2 years working experience with NGO and have similar position.
· Excellent knowledge of computer programme (Excel, spreadsheets, etc).
· Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
· Ability to work in a multicultural team.
· Good negotiation skills.
· Ability to work with minimum supervision.
· Self starter, pro-active and flexible.
· Ability to take initiative and pay attention to details.
· Organization commitment and able to adopt to the team and SC system quickly
· Ability to work simultaneously on multiple task and working independently without daily, direct supervision
