An AusAID funded project, Performance Oversight and Monitoring (POM)
requires a qualified Education Planning (Access) Specialist for short
term assignment.
Responsibilities:
Liaise effectively with government stakeholders and AusAID and lead the
design of an appropriate approach and methodology for a research study
on education district infrastructure planning.Identify the TORs for the
team required and assist in their recruitment and preparation for field
studies.Manage, support and implement field activities.Analyse study
findings and develop conclusions and recommendations.Prepare draft
report, incorporate comments as appropriate and contribute to the
preparation of the final report;Participate in presentations to
stakeholders and in follow up activities as identified and approved.
Qualifications, Skill and Attributes:
Minimum of 7 years relevant education planning experience, preferably in Indonesia;
Knowledge of community based school construction process; Experience in
conducting field research, particularly in education and social sector
development areas;Proven ability to communicate effectively at all
levels both internal and external to the organisation;Proven ability to
plan and schedule inputs and to produce effective outputs to achieve
desired outcomes;Demonstrated team management skills;Good communication
and negotiation skills; Fluent in English and competence in Bahasa
Indonesia preferred; and Ability to write technical reports in English
Duration and LocationThe study is planned in two
stages with the second stage dependent on the results of the first.
Part 1 of the Study is to be completed by 31 August 2012. The position
is based in Jakarta. Extensive travel will be required throughout
Indonesia.
