>Position: Monitoring and Evaluation Officer
>
>I.           Program Description
>
>Helen Keller International (HKI) is a non-profit
organization who has had an active presence in Indonesia since the early
1970s.  HKI-Indonesia has since continued
to work in close collaboration with the GOI in the areas of nutrition, eye
health and inclusive education for children with special needs.  Globally, HKI has been a leader for more than
half a century controlling and eliminating the various Neglected Tropical
Diseases (NTDs). 

>
>In 2013 and 2014, HKI-Indonesia will provide support
to the GOI in monitoring and evaluating activities related to the elimination
of lymphatic filariasis (LF)in the Lampung Timur, Lampung; Melawi,
Kalimantan Barat; Nunukan, Kalimantan Utara; Kutai Barat, Kalimantan Timur; and
Supiori, Papua.   For  six months, HKI-Indonesia will monitor
pre-LF-elimination activities at the district level under the leadership of the
district health officer; monitor LF-elimination drug distribution in these five
districts and assess coverage; and review and report the data following
LF-elimination activities.

>II.         Position
Description
>
>In
order to collect the appropriate data, HKI-Indonesia is requesting the
immediate assistance of two Jakarta-based monitoring and evaluation (M&E)
officers to conduct monitoring and evaluation activities in the five
districts. 
>
>III.       Essential
Job Functions
>
>·         Assist in
the updating and formatting of the questionnaires used for data collection;
>·         Assist in set
up databases, including data builder, data entry station, and SPSS;
> * Enter the collected data;
> * Conduct data quality verifications;
> * Maintain records; and
>·         Assist HKI-Indonesia’s
Monitoring and Evaluation Manager with other duties as needed.
>
>
>IV.      Qualifications
and Experience
>
>The
qualifications for M&E officers are as follows:
>·         Three years of experience in the collection of
data from the district level (experience with collecting population-based
public health data preferable);
>·         A bachelor’s degree in public health,
international development, or a related field;
>·         Demonstrated ability to document results;
>·         Ability to work in a timely fashion and under
minimal supervision;
>·         Experience with LF or other NTDs preferable;  
>·         Fluent in verbal and written Bahasa Indonesia;
and
>·         Willing to travel extensively
>
