Yayasan Tambuhak Sinta is a Kalimantan-based foundation that is striving to improve the quality of governance and well-being in areas affected by mineral development activities. The main focus is on participatory community development through capacity-building and economic livelihood support.
YTS is seeking to strengthen the quality of its field program management, and is looking for an individual with a high level of experience in managing community-based development programs. YTS's programming is based on a participatory approach and methodology, and candidates are expected to have experience that incorporates this development approach and philosophy.
YTS runs a dynamic and multi-faceted set of programs in various locations in Kalimantan, and candidates must be fully capable in dealing hands-on with this variety and with the unexpected demands that arise from constantly evolving circumstances.
These are the main requirements for this position:
· At least five years management experience with participatory development programs
· Very strong financial and personnel management skills
· Knowledge and understanding of government planning procedures at Kabupaten level
· Ability to work with a wide variety of individuals and organisations - villagers, government officials, donor agencies, civil society organisations, and resource companies
· Excellent interpersonal and social communication skills
· A Masters degree in a relevant discipline
· Willing and able to travel and work in remote areas
· Good computer skills - MS Office, internet
