We are currently seeking to recruitFinance Officerto help implement for a
CIDA-funded project, Better Approaches to Service Provision through
Increased Capacities in Sulawesi (BASICS). The project purpose is to
link planning and budgeting processes in a participatory, pro-poor,
gender equal and
environmentally sustainable manner leading to improved
MDGs/MSS-based social services provision in selected districts/cities in
North Sulawesi.
Duty station will be in Kendari, Sulawesi Tenggara.
Overview:
S/he will report to the Provincial Coordinator and Finance Manager in
consultation with the BASICS Responsive Initiative (BRI) Coordinator and
BRI Accountant related BRI expenses. S/he will be responsible for
processing and reporting on all BASICS-related expenses in the
respective province. S/he will also provide assistance to help deliver
training on BASICS financial procedures for the district/city-level
Administration and Finance Assistants.
Key Desired Qualifications
· Education Bachelor Degree in accounting;
· Honest, carefull and hard working;
· Experience in preparing daily/monthly accounts for expenditures /monthly journals;
· Experience in preparing cash/bank and travel advance reconciliations and
· Preparing cash/bank reconciliations
· Experience with budget control mechanisms;
· Provide support to facilitate BASICS audits & other monitoring & evaluation
· Assist in delivering training and orientation to the Provincial
BRI Sub-Committee and to the BRI Administration & Finance Assistant.
