The role:
To
represent and lead Oxfam’s  programme
development and implementation in geographical area in Eastern Indonesia in
line with the Joint Country Strategy in collaboration with the Country
Management Team and the Strategic Change Goal to assist Oxfam to achieve it’s
achieve an  integrated Oxfam program,
with a strong voice based on its collaboration with an extensive network of
partners, will make lasting changes in the lives of poor and vulnerable people
by influencing changes in policy and practice amongst the most influential
decision makers.
The requirement:
We
are looking for a leader who has significant experience in managing developments
programmes within Indonesia.  You’ll have
proven experience of programme development including experience of humanitarian
work. You’ll have proven experience of programme or complex management
including managing budgets, staff and funding of the programme. You’ll
certainly be committed to promoting gender equity issues, and you’ll have a
good understanding of the country development issues you’ll face. But as well
as your strategic abilities, you’ll need the proactive approach, drive and
influencing skills to strengthen key relationships and make an impact at high
levels. Knowledge of Indonesia(or programme area) in terms of its political,
economic and social trend plus a good understanding of the key development and
humanitarian issues in the region – desirable. So your communication and
networking talents will really come to the fore as you work with our diverse
and dedicated teams. Also you need to have strong leadership skills including challenging, motivating and developing a team
through periods of change.
