Regional Grants Officer - Terre des Hommes Netherlands

Terre des Hommes Netherlands (Earth for Mankind) is a Dutch organization founded in 1965 as a non-profit organization. Terre des Hommes Netherlands aims to improve the quality of life of vulnerable children in difficult circumstances all over the world, regardless of race, faith and/or political orientation and to have their rights as laid down in the UN Convention of the Rights of the Child protected and assured.

Terre des Hommes Netherlands Regional Office Southeast Asia supports local partners in Indonesia, Philippine, Cambodia, Laos, Myanmar and Thailand; and is currently looking for a Regional Grants Officer.


Responsibilities of the job:
• Responsible for developing, managing and implementing Terre des Hommes Netherlands Regional grants policies and strategies, related to relevant strategic and annual plans;
• Contribute to the capacity building and empowerment of local partners in fundraising;
• Responsible for supporting and training Terre des Hommes Netherlands staffs on grants soliciting;
• Contributes to joint initiatives with other actors if and when applicable;
• Responsible for establishing and maintaining relations between Terre des Hommes Netherlands and institutional donors in the region.

Job requirements:
- 5+ years of relevant working experiences as a grants officer in a regional context, preferably in Southeast Asia;
- Relevant academic qualification (or similar competencies based on previous working experience);
- Track record in identifying funding opportunities for local partners among institutional donors, monitoring of grants, and management of institutional donor relationships;
- Experience with financial and administrative management;
- Knowledge and experience with project cycle management methods;
- A relevant established professional network in Southeast Asia;
- Excellent knowledge of English (in writing and speech).

Duration and location:
The assignment will be for a period of 12 months with the possibility for permanent employment, starting as soon as possible.
