Vacancy as Jr. HR Professional (JHRP) at GIZ Office Jakarta

The Deutsche Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH
is an international cooperation enterprise for sustainable development
with worldwide operations. GIZ promotes complex reforms and change
processes. Its corporate objective is to improve people’s living
conditions on a sustainable basis. GIZ has been working in Indonesia
since 1975 on behalf of the German Federal Ministry for Economic
Cooperation and Development (BMZ).


GIZ Office Jakarta is seeking 1 (one) qualified Indonesian candidate
for the position of JUNIOR HR PROFESSIONAL (JHRP) to be based in
Jakarta. This position will be under fixed-term contract with
possibility of prolongation.

A.     Responsibilities
The junior HR professional provides support in
a. dealing with all questions arising in this area
b. identifying relevant problems and issues and assisting in
formulating implementation-oriented solutions
c. further developing instruments and assisting in introducing
innovation and change
d. managing knowledge by disseminating and documenting know-how,
experience and information
e. managing compensation and benefit related to National Personnel

The Junior HR professional performs the following tasks:

B.     Tasks
1.      Personnel recruitment
The junior HR professional:
a. assists in drawing up job descriptions and requirement profiles
b. assists with announcing vacancy through the external and internal media
c. assists with shortlisting incoming applications based on
requirements or hiring criteria, gets references
d. assists in organising the selection process (e.g. interviews)
e. assists with notification of unsuccessful applicants, documents the
selection process, archives the documentation and enters the data in
existing HRM systems

 2. Conditions of employment and HR support
The junior HR professional:
a. draws up the appropriate contract based on national labour law and
the material and formal conditions
b. assists with all other organisational and administrative processing
stages, e.g. monthly update of entries in SAP-HR application for
national personnel
c. in consultation with the HR Supervisor, updates information on
employment conditions for national personnel

3.      HR instruments and procedures
The junior HR professional:
a. assists in implementing policies for national personnel and
involved in HRM for national personnel
b. assists with formulating and updating a wide range of HR
information materials
c. assists with developing HR procedures and instruments
d. assists in organising the evaluation process
e. assists with training materials and preparation of induction events
for new staff

 4. Compensation and benefits
The junior HR professional:
a. Prepare monthly staff remuneration sheet for GIZ National Personnel
b. Be responsible for tax payment, insurance, and settlement payment
c. Manage the medical insurance administration for all of GIZ National Personnel

5. Other duties/additional tasks
The junior HR professional
a. performs other duties and tasks at the request of management

C. Required qualifications, competences and experience

Qualifications
a. university degree in law, sociology, accounts or comparable degree
b. Initial experience in this area minimum of 2 years

Other knowledge, additional competences:
a. good working knowledge of IT technologies
b. basic knowledge of national labour, compensation and benefit, HR
management, initial experience desirable
c. German language will be an advantage
d. strictly confidential handling of all HR issues
