Vacancy at Caritas Czech Republic - Assessment Admin / Translator

Caritas Czech Republic Aceh Mission (CCR) has been implementing rural
livelihoods development activities in Indonesia district since 2005. CCR’s
livelihood projects focus on agriculture, agroforestry and / or aquaculture.
Most of CCR’s livelihood projects have taken place in Aceh Province.

CCR is currently assessing the possibility to expand its activities to
other areas in Indonesia. One of these areas is Nusa Tenggara Timur Province
(NTT), West Timor.
From 1 June until 31 August 2012, CCR will conduct a
pre-project assessment in NTT to examine the possibility of a future livelihood
project in the province. The assessment will examine possible project areas,
project partners and project beneficiaries. CCR will assign one Assessment
Coordinator, Two Assessment Officers (junior/senior) and one Assessment
Admin/Translator. This TOR is for Assessment
Admin / Translator.
The Assessment Admin/ Translator reports to the
Assessment Coordinator and will provide support in a smooth implementation of
CCR’s NTT Pre Project Assessment. The Assessment Admin / Translator will
fulfill the following duties and responsibilities.

Supervisor                                               : Assessment Coordinator
Duty Station                                            : Nusa Tenggara Timur (NTT), West Timor
Expected duration of assigment           : 1 June to 31 August 2012

Translation  / Interpretation:
1.    Act as interpreter between Assessment Coordinator and Assessment Officer
2.    Act as interpreter during meetings / activities with assessment
stakeholders and participants
3.    Translate all assessment documents and information for the Assessment
Coordinator and Officers upon request

Project Administration:

1.    Arrange all logistics during the assessment including hotel reservations,
transportation.
2.    Arrange appointments with
rural communities, local governments and potential partners
3.    Prepare the weekly
assessment calendar together with the Assessment Coordinator
4.    Take minutes of meetings
5.    Assist gathering baseline
data
6.    Perform other
responsibilities related as requested by Project Developer

Education:

Bachelor/ Diploma
degree for business administration, or economic.

Experiences:


·         Minimum four years experience in translating /
interpreting for NGOs / government
·         Minimum four years experience in
administrative duties
·         Working experience in NTT rural areas
·         Previous experience
in livelihood assessments – e.g needs assessment with PRA / RPA tools, climate
assessment, organizational capacity assessment, environmental assessment for
NGOs
·         Familiarity with
disaster risk reduction strategies
·         Experience working
with rural communities
·         Computer literate (MS Office and Internet)
·         Familiarity with database input and analysis
(with Database software, e.g. MS Access)
·         Honest, hard working,
responsible, dedicated and self-motivated person
·         Ableto work in team, flexible,
and have the ability to cope with stressful situations and frustrations
Language Requirements:

Fluency
in English and Bahasa Indonesia (written and spoken)
