Chemonics seeks Team Leader and Specialists

Team Leader

Chemonics seeks a team leader for an anticipated
USAID-funded assessment of biodiversity and tropical forestry conservation
needs for the purpose of complying with section 118 and 119 of the Foreign
Assistance Act of 1961. The assessment will propose recommendations on where
USAID comparative advantages and capabilities are likely to have the greatest
impact to meet the need for biodiversity and tropical forestry conservation in
Indonesia.  We are looking for individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.


Qualifications:
* Postgraduate qualifications in public policy, natural resource economics, forestry or marine resources management, or closely related field in natural resource management
* Previous M&E experience and should have lead or conducted FAA 118/119 reporting process
* At least 10 years of experience in natural
resource management
*  Experience working in Indonesia required
* Experience working for and/or working with USAID or its implementing partner
* Familiarity with USAID environmental regulations and strategic planning processes
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility
* Proficiency in written and oral English required

Biodiversity Specialist

Chemonics seeks a biodiversity specialist for an
anticipated USAID-funded assessment of biodiversity and tropical forestry
conservation needs for the purpose of complying with section 118 and 119 of the
Foreign Assistance Act of 1961. The assessment will propose recommendations on
where USAID comparative advantages and capabilities are likely to have the
greatest impact to meet the need for biodiversity and tropical forestry
conservation in Indonesia.   We are looking for individuals who have a
passion for making a difference in the lives of people around the world.

Qualifications:
* Post-graduate qualifications in biology, zoology, forestry, marine resources, or a closely related field in natural resource management
* At least ten years of biodiversity conservation and tropical forests
* Familiarity with technical approaches of environmental NGOs and donors for biodiversity conservation
* Experience working in Indonesia preferred
* Experience working for and/or working with USAID or its implementing partner
* Familiarity with USAID environmental regulations and strategic planning processes
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility
* Proficiency in written and oral English required

Institutional Specialist

Chemonics seeks an institutional specialist for an
anticipated USAID-funded assessment of biodiversity and tropical forestry
conservation needs and for the purpose of complying with section 118 and 119 of
the Foreign Assistance Act of 1961 The assessment will propose recommendations
on where USAID comparative advantages and capabilities are likely to have the
greatest impact to meet the need for biodiversity and tropical forestry conservation
in Indonesia.  We are looking for
individuals who have a passion for making a difference in the lives of people
around the world.

Qualifications:
* Post-graduate qualifications in public administration, management, natural resources economics, or a closely related field in natural resources management
* In-depth understanding of Indonesian institutions, both national and local government, as well as the policy, budgeting, and implementation processes of the Indonesian Government
* Experience in designing, managing, implementing, monitoring and evaluating programs, and projects related to sustainable forest management and economic development, climate change, and biodiversity conservations
* Experience working with GOI, local communities, NGOs and private sector in Indonesia
* Demonstrated leadership, communication, and management skills
* Experience with and knowledge of USAID policies
* Strong interpersonal skills
* Demonstrated leadership, integrity, and versatility
* Proficiency in writing and spoken Bahasa Indonesia and English.
