Chemonics International Inc. seeks an Education and Training Specialist for
the USAID funded Indonesia Marine and Climate Support (IMACS) project. This
project aims to support the Government of Indonesia in improving the
sustained management of marine ecosystems by providing technical support
for key marine activities with the Ministry of Marine Affairs and Fisheries
(MMAF), local communities, and the private sector.
Specific requirements
The Education and Training Specialist (ETS) will have the primary
responsibility for identifying, planning and organizing training for MMAF
staff. He/she will also work through various partners to build
institutional capacity; and work with staff of the local fisheries services
in promoting sustainable fishing practices. In addition:
· Support strengthening of vertically integrated training programs
and work to ensure training programs integrate male and female staff from
provincial and district governments as well as national MMAF staff.
· Support the institutionalization of trainings in the MMAF.
Qualifications
· At least 5 years of experience working in education and training,
and capacity building with government at local and national levels.
· Successful experience working in a diverse, fast-paced
environment.
· Master’s degree preferred.
· Fluency in English and Indonesian is required.
