The Asia Foundation's Indonesia office seeks qualified candidates for
the position of Program Officer for Law Program to develop and manage
our law programs and providing technical assistance to partners and
grantees to achieve policy reforms both at the national and local level.
S/he will also to represent the Foundation in public forum and to raise
the profile of the Foundation's law programs.
The Asia Foundation's law reform programs are dynamic, innovative and
based upon five decades of law reform experience throughout Asia. Our
staff works closely with institutions ranging from NGOs to government
agencies.
Candidates should ideally possess:
• Excellent program management skills and experience
• Fluent written and spoken English and Indonesian
• Sound analytical, report writing and presentational skills
• A sound understanding of contemporary law reform issues and deep
knowledge of the Indonesian legal system particularly on Criminal
Justice System.
• Familiarities or knowledge of Indonesian government agencies and NGOs working in law reform
• Sensitivities in working with communities at village level.
• A degree in law or social studies at undergraduate or graduate level
