applicants for the following field-based technical positions:
Aceh
Coffee and Climate Project Coordinator – Based in Banda Aceh
The incumbent
will lead the implementation of Coffee, Climateand Communities Project
asCoffee and Climate Project Coordinator. The function of this position
is to coordinatethe Coffee, Carbon and Climate Changeproject
tostrengthen biodiversity conservation and livelihoods in the Central
Aceh Regency of Aceh Province. This position
is also responsible for ensuring the smooth function of projectoffice
operations in Banda Aceh,
project management,andmaintaining good relationships with partners.
Requirements:A master degree
or degree in forestry, agriculture or other related field, with a minimum of 5
years of relevant experienced in project management in a rural development
context. Experience in forestry or agricultural sector (particularly on coffee,
agroforestry, REDD + and climate change issues), research development, socio
economic analysis, and policy development and confidence and ability to develop
personal contacts with the media, conservation partners, private sector and
government officials. Experience working with INGO conservation is advantage.
Aceh
Stakeholder Engagement Officer – Based in Takengon,Aceh Tengah
S/he will implement activities related to
the project and provide information and data collection to the Coffee and
Climate Project Coordinator as well as to engage and develop partnerships with
key stakeholders to ensure effective implementation of activities under the
Coffee and Climate initiative in the Central Aceh Regency of Aceh Province to
strengthen biodiversity conservation and livelihoods. Engage and serve as
day-to-day liaison with stakeholders and partners on the ground in Aceh Tengah
Regency and implementing the relevant project activities
Requirements: Bachelor’s Degree
and or S1 degree preferred in forestry, agriculture, natural resources
management or other related field, with a minimum of 5 years relevant
experience; experienced
on networking development in local government, community, conservation-minded
NGOs and community-based organization and private sector; fair for diplomacy;
negotiation, mediation, conflict resolution, negotiating, develop networking
and facilitation skills at all levels and excellent communication skills in
local language, Bahasa Indonesia and English.
SLP -
North Sumatra Livelihood Development Officer – Based in Penyabungan,
Mandailing Natal
Implement and coordinate livelihood
development activities at the regency level for the Sustainable Landscapes
Partnership project (SLP). S/he will implement project activities aimed at
improving livelihoods which are compatible with and promote sustainable
resource management and low emissions development. S/he will assist in
conducting research, participatory analysis processes, and ensuring coherent
integration of economic development activities with forest and biodiversity conservation
objectives. Building from the project’s analytical work and supporting
CI–Indonesia’s priorities, h/she will inform and support effective economic
development programming from strategy design to monitoring effectiveness of
activities. He/she will develop strong working relationships with CI partners
to demonstrate low emission development models that improve community
livelihoods and maintain ecosystem services and biodiversity
Requirements:Bachelor degree
preferred in economics, social/anthropological sciences, or natural resources
management related science with at least 5 years of experience in conservation
and community livelihoods in Sumatra; Understanding of forestry issues at regency
level including knowledge of community livelihood and community-led
conservation issues and research development, methodology and implementation; Willingness
to travel and work long hours, including work in arduous field conditions in
remote areas.
SLP -
North Sumatra Stakeholder Engagement Officer – Based in Penyabungan,
Mandailing Natal
Serves as the key
focal point for stakeholder engagement at the regency level for the Sustainable
Landscapes Partnership project (SLP). H/she will develop and shape engagement
strategies with respect to stakeholders in government, private sector, NGOs,
and communities in selected project implementation sites. S/he will assist the
SLP Team and partners to carry out feasibility assessments and develop
strategic Investment Action Profiles (SIAP), contributing to data collection
and analysis. S/he will facilitate collaborative dialogues and other processes
to troubleshoot, build support, and ensure smooth project implementation. S/he
will work with SLP team memberson technical and management
implementation across thematic areas and ensure smooth functioning of the field
activities and maintain good relationships with government, private sector, NGO
and community partners. Requirements;Minimum Bachelor degree and or S1
degree preferred in forestry, agriculture, social science, natural
resources
management or other related field, witha minimum of 5 years’
experience; understanding of sustainable
landscape management and climate change issues and demonstrated
competency in field team management and multi-stakeholder facilitation;
willingness to travel and work long hours, including work in arduous
field conditions in remote areas.
